Service Terms
These are the terms for having Yur Favrit Window Cleaner clean your windows. Booking an appointment, online or by phone, means you've agreed to them. We've kept them short and in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask before we start.
1. Scheduling and changes
Bookings are made through Square, either on our website or by contacting us directly. You can reschedule or cancel for free up to 1 day before your appointment start time, through your Square confirmation or by calling or texting us.
Cancellations or changes inside that 1-day window, and no-shows, carry a $50 trip fee. That covers the time we set aside and the appointment we couldn't offer to someone else.
2. Weather
Window cleaning is outdoor work. If rain, high wind, lightning, or freezing conditions make exterior cleaning unsafe or make it impossible to do a good job, we'll reschedule you at no charge. The call on weather is ours, and a weather reschedule is a new appointment, not a refund.
3. Price and payment
Your price is set when you book through Square. If the job turns out to be different from what was booked, more windows, a different type of glass, or access that wasn't described, we'll tell you the adjusted price before we continue, and you can decline the extra work.
We may ask for a partial prepayment before work begins. We set the amount, and we'll tell you what it is before your appointment is confirmed. The remaining balance is due in full when the job is finished.
You will never be charged for a window or surface we didn't clean. If we can't service something, whether because it can't be safely reached, is damaged, or isn't accessible, it comes off the bill, and if you prepaid for it, that portion is refunded.
4. Late payment
If the balance isn't paid on completion, unpaid amounts accrue a late fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate allowed under Texas law, whichever is less. If we have to send an account to collections or go to court to recover it, you're also responsible for our reasonable costs of collection, including attorney's fees, as allowed by Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code Section 38.001. Any dispute will be handled in Travis County, Texas.
5. What we need from you
You're responsible for giving us a reasonably safe place to work and a way to get to the windows. That means:
- Gates unlocked and someone available if interior access is needed
- Dogs and other pets secured away from the work area
- Access to water on site, whether an outdoor spigot or an indoor tap we can reach
- Somewhere to park within a reasonable distance
- Furniture, plants, blinds, and valuables moved back from the windows we're cleaning
- A heads-up about anything hazardous: rotted decking, loose railings, exposed wiring, wasp nests, aggressive animals
If we arrive and the site isn't reasonably safe or the windows can't be reached, we may decline or stop the work, and the $50 trip fee applies.
6. Our cleaning products
We use professional-grade, biodegradable cleaning solutions with no harsh solvents and no ammonia. They're safe for people, pets, and plants, and gentle enough for tinted, leaded, and antique glass.
Please tell us when you book if you have window film or tint, leaded or stained glass, antique glass, or unsealed wood frames. It's not a problem, but it does change the tools and technique we use, and we want to show up prepared.
7. Pre-existing conditions
Some things look like dirt but aren't, and cleaning won't fix them. Before we start, we'll point out anything we notice, and we're not responsible for conditions that were already there:
- Scratches, pits, or chips in the glass
- Fogging or moisture between panes of double-glazed windows (a failed seal)
- Hard-water spots and mineral etching that have set into the glass
- Oxidation or paint overspray on frames and glass
- Cracked, brittle, or deteriorated glazing, putty, or caulk
- Torn, bent, or sun-damaged screens
- Loose, sticking, or damaged window hardware
Clean glass shows existing flaws more clearly than dirty glass does. That's not new damage; it was there before and you can see it now.
8. Limitation of liability
Yur Favrit Window Cleaner's total liability to you for any claim arising out of a cleaning, whether based on breach of contract, negligence, or any other legal theory, is limited to the amount you paid for that specific job. This limit applies to damage to glass, frames, screens, window coverings, landscaping, and other property, and to any indirect or consequential loss.
This limitation does not apply to gross negligence, intentional or willful misconduct, or any liability that Texas law does not allow us to limit, and it does not waive any rights you have under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act.
If something does get damaged during a cleaning, tell us within 48 hours so we can take a look while the situation is fresh. We'd rather make it right than argue about it.
9. Injuries
Window cleaning involves ladders, heights, wet surfaces, and glass. We accept those risks as part of the job. You are not responsible for injuries we sustain while performing normal operations, meaning the actions required to complete the service you booked.
That release doesn't cover hazards you knew about and didn't tell us about, or injuries caused by your own gross negligence.
10. Our guarantee
If a window we cleaned isn't right, tell us. We'll come back and make it right.
11. Height and reach
Whether a window can be safely reached is decided on site by the cleaner doing the work. If we determine a window can't be reached or cleaned safely, we won't clean it, and per Section 3 you won't be billed for it. If you prepaid for that window, that portion is refunded.
12. The legal part
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Booking an appointment constitutes acceptance of the version of these terms posted at the time of booking. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; changes take effect for bookings made after the new effective date.
